JetBlue passenger breaks ankle after getting tangled in seatbelt
The incident is not the only lawsuit that an airline is facing. Earlier this week, Simple Flying reported on another incident where a passenger onboard a JetBlue Airways flight broke their ankle after getting tangled in the seatbelt. The passenger filed a suit against the airline for lack of helpful support or assistance, both onboard the aircraft or on the ground after landing.
The incident occurred on July 23rd during a flight from JFK to Nassau Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS). As the passenger was getting out of their seat, their foot allegedly became entangled seatbelt that was hanging close to the cabin floor. As a result, they fell backward, twisting and ultimately fracturing their foot.

While they were assisted back, the passenger alleged that the crew failed to provide any medical assistance, such as access to a first aid kit or ice packs.
