Breeze Airways has announced a few new routes out of Washington Dulles, three of which are previously unserved markets. The airline has made similar announcements in recent days and is even eyeing international operations in places like the Caribbean, Ireland, and the UK.
New flights out of Washington Dulles
Breeze airways
has announced new operations out of Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in the coming weeks. One of the destinations—Ogdensburg, New York—will be its first Essential Air Service contract. While the city pair isn’t new, it hasn’t been served since 2022.
However, the carrier’s three other destinations out of Washington Dulles will be previously unserved routes. These will be to Salt Lake City-Provo, Utah; South Bend, Indiana; and Vero Beach, Florida.

Senator Chuck Schumer of New York said that the Washington-Ogdensburg service is a win-win for Breeze, Ogdensburg, and the North Country’s economy. Paul Bobson, Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority vice president for airline business development, commented,
“We are excited for Breeze Airways to become the 45th airline at Washington Dulles International. Breeze will give local travelers access to three previously unserved markets from the Washington, D.C., region while bringing nonstop service back to upstate New York. With these new flights, Dulles will reinforce its position as the airport with the most nonstop destinations of any airport in the region.”
Flight schedule
These flights will be added to Breeze’s network in September and October, and the airline will have the following schedule:
From Ogdensburg, NY to:

Expansion mode
Last month, Breeze Airways made a couple of similar announcements regarding network expansion. The first was to
add 18 routes and five new cities to its map
, taking its total offering to more than 200 routes.
These include routes like Akron-Canton to Sarasota-Bradenton, Daytona Beach to Westchester County and Hartford, Erie to Orlando, and Fort Myers to South Bend and Wilmington, among others. Most of these will start between November 2024 and February 2025. Breeze also has its eyes on international operations and could start with the Caribbean first and later expand to places like Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Another one of the carrier’s network-related announcements was for its entry to New Haven, Connecticut, where it will start operations in December. New Haven will get
Breeze’s ten nonstop destinations
operating from Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN). Many of these will be to sunny destinations such as Fort Myers, Orlando, and West Palm Beach.
