Qantas Frequent Flyer top-tier loyalty members can earn 2x Miles on all Turkish Airlines (TK) flights for one year after joining the European carrier’s Miles&Smiles program. The offer applies to Qantas Platinum and Platinum One members who have already signed up for TK’s status match deal.

With TK debuting Melbourne-Istanbul in March 2024 and Sydney-Istanbul services this December with a nonstop flight arriving in 2026, the Star Alliance member is doubling down on attracting QFF members.

On top of the existing status match offer for top-tier members, Qantas Frequent Flyers can now earn double miles on all Turkish Airlines flights for 12 months.

There is no restriction on the ticketing date during the QFF Status Match 2x Miles campaign with the last status-matching process date as 31 December 2024. After the status-matching process, members will be emailed with the campaign details.

The latest campaign comes after Turkish Airlines extended a generous status match for top-tier Qantas Frequent Flyers with Elite tier membership for four months in its Miles&Smiles loyalty program.

The Elite status unlocks airport lounge access, free inflight Wi-Fi and seat selection, increased checked baggage allowance of one extra piece or 20kg and other perks.

In addition, the Elite card also provides four months of Star Alliance Gold benefits across airlines, including Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, United Airlines and more.

Star Alliance Gold members receive priority check-in, baggage and boarding; access to more than 1,000 lounges worldwide, extra baggage allowance and use of Gold Track priority security and immigration lanes where available.

To extend the Elite and Star Alliance Gold status for a year, members only need to take one international economy or business class flight with Turkish Airlines within the initial four-month status-match period.
