Based on analyzing every planned flight using Cirium data, some 59 airports will see the Airbus A380 from November. Why November? Northern airlines switch to winter schedules on October 27 based on IATA slot seasons.

The latest addition is Prague, which Emirates
has confirmed will again see the superjumbo from December 1, having last seen the type in March 2020. While the Czech capital will have flights by one A380 operator, what about airports with three or more double-deck-operating carriers?

Airports with three+ A380 users

All Nippon, Asiana, British Airways, Emirates, Etihad, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Qantas, Qatar Airways, and Singapore Airlines all fly the double-decker quadjet. From November 2024 to August 2025, 13 airports globally are scheduled to have flights by at least three of the airlines.

The latest addition is Johannesburg, which has welcomed Qantas’ first A380 service, joining British Airways and Emirates. Then there is Paris CDG, which will again have a trio of operators because of Etihad’s return. Qatar Airways again uses the type to Paris CDG on November 24 and December 1 and three times weekly from December 13.

Meanwhile, Mumbai features because Etihad continues to fly the A380 three times weekly, ostensibly for crew training. In contrast, Frankfurt only just made it, with two Asiana roundtrips making the difference between its entry and not.

Unless stated, all operate year-round. WS is used if they are winter seasonal, while SS is for summer seasonal. As usual, the information may change, especially in 2025, so treat it as a snapshot as of October 1.

How has it changed in a year?

Examining the schedule for the prior year, from November 2023 to August 2024, indicates that two airports no longer have a trio of superjumbo operators:

  • Hong Kong: was served by Emirates, Qantas, and Singapore Airlines. A year later, only two operate: Emirates and Singapore Airlines (only in January 2025). Qantas used its A380s there until March 2024.
  • Melbourne: was served by Emirates, Qantas, and Singapore Airlines. Now, only two operate there: Emirates and Qantas. Singapore Airlines last flew the A380 to Victoria in November 2023.
