MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — Manistee County Blacker Airport will welcome the return of jet service to Manistee with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday at noon.
The community is invited to attend and welcome Contour Airlines.
Contour launched daily scheduled service between Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Manistee on October 1. Contour has interline ticketing and baggage agreements with O’Hare’s two largest carriers, American Airlines and United Airlines. Since 2016, Contour Airlines has grown to serve 29 cities nationwide, operating nearly 40 regional jets, with 30 passenger capacity.
“We are so pleased to add Manistee to the Contour network and to introduce fast and reliable regional jet service to the Manistee Community.” Said Contour CEO, Matt Chaifetz, “Together with our interline partners, American, Alaska, and United Airlines, our goal is to continue to make travel easy and affordable for the community while also by providing seamless connectivity to destinations around the world.”
