Question: After an airline disaster, there is always the hunt for the so-called “black box.” What color is the box and what does it have to do with 2425 S. Main St. in Bloomington?
Answer: “The black box,” an indestructible metal box that contains a cockpit voice recorder is actually orange or yellow, it is easier to find amid wreckage — and it is at that address, at the then International Tapetronics, where the modern-day version of it was invented in the 1970s.
