As Georgians make preparations for a second winter storm, airlines have begun to respond as well.
Delta Airlines has published a waiver for those traveling to, from, and through several Georgia airports including those in Atlanta, Augusta, and Savannah for tickets bought on or before 10:08 p.m. Jan. 20. For Atlanta travelers, tickets must be reissued on or before Friday, Jan. 24. Rebooked travel must also begin no later than Friday. For the other Georgia airports, the date for reissues and rebookings is Saturday, Jan. 25.
American Airlines has issued a travel alert for Atlanta, Augusta, and Savannah. Those traveling to, through, and from these areas are eligible to change their trip for free. You must have bought your ticket by Jan. 18, scheduled to travel Jan. 20-23, and can travel Jan. 19-27. Changes must be made by Jan. 23.

United Airlines has waivers in place for Atlanta and Savannah for tickets bought on or before Jan. 15. The new flight must be between now and Jan. 25.
Southwest Airlines is allowing travelers to, from, and through Atlanta and Savannah to rebook or travel standby (within 14 days of their original date) without paying additional charges. If your flight is canceled or significantly delayed by Southwest and you choose to cancel your trip as a result, you may be eligible for a refund for the unused ticket (even if your ticket was non-refundable) and any optional travel charges like EarlyBird or Upgraded Boarding.
