The world’s best first-class airline suite for 2025 has been revealed — but tickets don’t come cheap.

Singapore Airlines took the crown with its ‘Skyroom Suite’ in this year’s AirlineRating’s Best Airline Awards.

The luxury cabins, available on the carrier’s A380 aircraft, were commended for their ‘exceptional service’ and ‘exquisite’ dining and amenities.

Each comes equipped with a fully lie-flat bed, a swivel leather chair, 32-inch HD TVs, a personal wardrobe and electronic blinds.

Explaining what makes Skyroom Suites so special, AirlineRatings said: ‘The highlight is the separate foldout flatbed, measuring 76’ by 27’, complete with premium bedding, a duvet, and plush pillows.

‘The bedhead is equipped with a gas spring, allowing passengers to comfortably watch movies while reclining. For couples, the partition between suites can be lowered to create double beds in the forward suites.’

Those who want to enjoy the feature should book the adjoining Suites 1A and 2A or 1F and 2F.

Guests also have access to spacious bathrooms, which come with a sit-down vanity area with light-up mirrors. The area is equipped with an ‘exquisite range of toiletries’ too, including body lotion and facial mist from Lalique.

Meanwhile, in-flight meals are crafted by an ‘acclaimed’ International Culinary Panel of chefs from around the world.

Passengers can choose their food and drink up to eight days before they fly via the digital in-flight menu, with a wide range of options, from lobster thermidor to chicken biryani.

However, those who want to lap up the luxury will have to pay the price.

Although Singapore Airlines doesn’t disclose the price on its website, tickets for Skyroom Suites reportedly cost between $10,000 (£7,900) and $30,000 (£23,730) depending on the route and date.

One content creator, @countingcountries, shared his journey aboard the luxurious cabin to TikTok, claiming it ‘feels more like a hotel room than an airplane seat’.

He added that the service ‘did not disappoint’ and that he was given an amenity kit featuring ‘high-end Lalique lotions and perfume, and quite possibly the most comfortable slippers [he’s] ever worn’.

According to the travel reviewer, the suite also ‘feels way more like flying private than a commercial flight’.

One user commented on his video: ‘If I had to pay 15k for a flight ticket I wouldn’t close my eyes for a minute. I would only eat and drink as much as possible.’

Another traveller, @karishmairl, also shared her verdict on TikTok, revealing that the trip was worth $23,000 (£18,190).

Upon entering the suite, she said she was ‘honestly amazed at how much space there was,’ noting that it came with Bang & Olufsen noise-cancelling headphones and iPad to ‘order anything you want on’.

Karishma described the bed as surprisingly comfy, but added that the ‘best part’ was the bathroom.

The video gained a hoard of comments, with users remarking that the suite is ‘so expensive’ and ‘I wish I had that much money.’

Singapore Airlines was also recently named the best long-haul airline in the world for 2025 by Which?.

As part of its annual satisfaction survey, the consumer group asked over 7,000 of its members about their experiences of flying last year across more than 9,000 flights.

Passengers were asked to rate their experiences across several categories, including customer service, food and drink and value for money – an overall customer score was then calculated.

Singapore Airlines was the highest-ranking long-haul carrier, with an ‘impressive’ customer score of 80%.

The airline scored five out of five stars in most categories including customer service, ease of boarding, cleanliness and cabin environment.
