Malaysia Airlines celebrated the launch of its inaugural flight to Da Nang, Vietnam, providing travelers with enhanced accessibility to the destination from its main hub in Kuala Lumpur. The airline will operate seven times weekly flights.

The inaugural flight MH748 from KLIA Terminal 1 (KUL) to Da Nang International Airport (DAD) departed at 08:35 am local time amidst a vibrant send-off event. The flight, operated by the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, carried a total of 155 passengers, including 12 in Business Class and 143 in Economy Class.

Upon arrival at DAD at 10:25 am local time, passengers were greeted with a warm welcome event, celebrating the new connection between Malaysia and Vietnam. The return flight, MH749 from DAD to KUL, departed at 11:25 am and landed back in Kuala Lumpur at 3:20 pm local time.

Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, Chief Executive Officer of Airlines from Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said, “Our inaugural flight to Da Nang achieved an impressive load factor of 90%, reflecting strong demand for travel to this beautiful city and symbolising another significant step in our commitment to being the carrier of choice for travelers. This new service marks our third destination to Vietnam.”
