Turkey’s first private ground handling company, Çelebi Aviation, is strengthening its global footprint through a significant new partnership with Turkish Airlines. Beginning December 1, 2024, Çelebi Aviation will provide ground handling and passenger services for nine weekly Turkish Airlines flights at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar Es Salaam, marking a major step in its African expansion strategy.
With over 65 years of expertise, Çelebi Aviation operates on three continents, across six countries, and at 70 stations worldwide. The collaboration with Turkish Airlines represents the company’s largest operation in Africa to date and underscores its commitment to growth in the region.
Having entered the Tanzanian market in 2021, Çelebi continues to expand its global network with this partnership, which aligns with its mission to deliver high-quality aviation services.
