HOUSTON – Passengers aboard a United Airlines flight anxiously waited for the plane to touch down in Houston Friday evening after dozens reported feeling sick.

There was not a whole lot of detail provided as to how sick passengers felt, but according to Houston firefighters, the nausea complaints may have stemmed from where they were before boarding.

The flight had a group of 75 travelers, a Houston FD captain told KPRC 2, and they were all previously on a cruise in Vancouver. 25 of those travelers were ill because of the cruise. Once firefighters arrived at Bush Airport, they evacuated three patients from the plane but no one was taken to the emergency room.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) the plane landed safely despite the passengers feeling sick.

No additional information has been shared, as of this writing, but KPRC 2 will continue to monitor and make updates to this story as more information becomes available.
