Flair Airlines recently launched a new direct flight from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Guadalajara, Mexico.

This is the first and only non-stop route from YVR to this popular Mexican tourist destination.

Guadalajara, located in western Mexico, boasts numerous landmarks, including Guadalajara Cathedral, the Teatro Degollado, the Templo Expiatorio, the Hospicio Cabañas, and the San Juan de Dios Market, making it become one of the popular travel destinations for Canadian residents.

According to YVR, 500,000 Canadian tourists went to Guadalajara last year.

The opening of this new route will stimulate tourism in both cities and expand more transportation options, YVR stated in a press release.

This route has provided 26 new job opportunities for YVR and B.C., according to YVR.

The new YVR-Guadalajara flights will be offered up to three times per week.
