Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Royal Jordanian, Samer Majali, announced during a press meeting held on Wednesday evening that the launch of these flights aligns with the airline’s commercial strategy to expand its route network, open promising markets, and attract inbound tourism. This strategy aims to enhance air traffic between Jordan and the global community.

Majali, in the presence of Cypriot Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis and various officials from Royal Jordanian and the tourism sector, emphasized that Royal Jordanian supports the Ministry of Tourism and the Jordan Tourism Board’s efforts to position Jordan as a premier tourist destination. The introduction of flights to Paphos is anticipated to significantly boost religious tourism, encouraging more visitors from Cyprus to explore Jordan’s historical and religious sites.

He highlighted that Royal Jordanian offers numerous travel options this summer, aiming to enhance tourism opportunities for both Jordanians and international tourists. This new route adds another vacation destination alongside other summer hotspots such as Sharm El-Sheikh, Antalya, Larnaca, Athens, and Barcelona. Paphos will be Royal Jordanian’s second destination on the island of Cyprus, renowned for its cultural and historical landmarks.

Regarding the airline network, Majali stated that the company is currently focused on enhancing services and operations while increasing revenues through greater network flexibility, increased flight frequencies, and strengthening its operational hub in Amman. According to the plan, Royal Jordanian aims to expand its network to 60 destinations, having already launched vital routes to Algeria, Bahrain, Dusseldorf, Stockholm, and Brussels.
