Any business seems it’s out to nickel-and-dime you every step of the way.

Airports are no exception.

You’ve already paid a lot for your flight and now they’re asking you to pay extra to check your bag and even more-so if it weighs over 50 pounds.

Then you have to pay extra for snacks now that you’re in a place where you can’t easily find a mini-mart or something.

And never mind the prices at the restaurants inside airports.

Well, the good folks at Alaska Airlines do have some relief as there’s an item that they’ll let you check for free, and it may not be what you’re thinking.

What Item does Alaska Airlines let you check for free to your final destination?

Believe it or not, it’s wine.

Alaska Airlines started their Wine Flies Free program to the joy and benefit of so many of us in the Pacific Northwest as well as the Napa Valley area of Northern California.

This service works when checking onto your flight at any of these Alaska Airline cities.
