SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A low-cost Mexican airline announced a new nonstop international route between Tijuana, MX and Las Vegas, NV.

Volaris will be servicing flights between Tijuana and Las Vegas starting Oct. 29 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, the company said on its website.

“At Volaris we are always looking for greater and better travel options for our Clients, as well as offering unparalleled flight experiences, meeting the demand of a market with high potential such as Las Vegas. Thus, we once again fulfill our objective of increasingly diversifying our destination offering for the benefit of our Clients on both sides of the border,” said Holger Blankenstein, Executive Vice President of Volaris.

Tijuana, one of the largest industrial cities in Mexico, neighbors San Diego, while Las Vegas in Nevada is known as the entertainment capital of the world with its gambling, shows, and nightclubs.

Volaris operates in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America.
