Members of the airport commission listened to a presentation about two airlines that hope to serve our market: incumbent Sun Country Airlines, and Skywest Airlines, which operates United Express.

The director of the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport said after deliberation, the commission requested to meet with the two companies who submitted proposals. So, no decision was made Wednesday morning.

Airport leaders are in the process of setting up those meetings and will send a public notice with an agenda at a future date.

The U.S. Department of Transportation will consider community input, but the DOT will ultimately make the decision on which carrier will service our market.
