As Jamaica prepares for the passage of Hurricane Beryl, Caribbean Airlines has cancelled its Wednesday’s services to/from the island.

In a release, the airline says BW 079/BW 078 scheduled to operate the Kingston – Toronto route, and BW414 / BW 415 scheduled to operate the POS – KINGSTON – NASSAU return route have both been cancelled. Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport is scheduled to close at 10 pm tonight due to the imminent threat. Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay will close at 11:59 pm.

Dominican Republic low-cost airline Arajet also cancelled its services to the island, while American Airlines has added three additional flights to the island to evacuate persons wishing to leave.

As airports reopen in the Winward Islands, Caribbean Airlines is also operating relief flights today and tomorrow for ticketed and confirmed passengers whose flights were affected by Beryl’s passage.
