Malaysia Airlines Malaysia Airlines Trade Elevation Summit 2024

Malaysia Airlines hosted the inaugural Malaysia Airlines Trade Elevation Summit 2024. In collaboration with Tourism Malaysia (TM) and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), the summit attracted 300 delegates, including over 200 international attendees from 48 cities across 21 countries.

The event brought together key decision-makers from major trade companies worldwide, fostering global collaboration and strategising future initiatives. This effort is crucial for enhancing Malaysia’s position in the global tourism landscape. The summit marked a significant milestone in advancing the goals of Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY2026), positioning Kuala Lumpur (KUL) as a gateway for Asia and beyond and establishing Malaysia as a premier ASEAN tourism and aviation hub.

The ‘Singapore Tourism Board Roadshow 2024: Holidays Made in Singapore’ will showcase 50 exhibitors from hotels, attractions, airlines, and cruise lines in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad from 8 to July 12, 2024. The event aims to strengthen partnerships with the Indian travel trade community and promote Singapore as a distinctive destination.

Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director, Malaysia Aviation Group said, “This summit transcended the typical conference; it celebrated partnerships that embody Malaysia Airlines’ inclusive spirit as we collaborate globally for mutual growth. We eagerly anticipate showcasing Malaysia’s hospitality and advancing tourism objectives through strategic alliances.”

A highlight of the summit was the introduction of the Golden Wau Awards, which celebrated top-performing sales agents for their exceptional achievements in driving revenue.
