ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — After a large number of complaints from air customers against airlines and ticket agents, Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond has launched an online form, allowing consumers to file complaints directly to his office.

In a release, Drummond stated that the main reasons for this form were elevated levels of complaints pertaining to flight disruptions, lack of refunds, and lost or delayed luggage. He also stated that after an agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation, he has the authority to review and resolve airline consumer complaints for Oklahoma residents.

“If we just let it be, it’ll just continue to grow and absorb more of the budget without achieving anything.” Said Jeremiah Light. “So yeah, it’s very important that we have these online forms, to make sure that our complaints are heard and sent directly.”

Drummond stated in part, “Airline passengers deserve to be treated fairly…our hope is that this airline complaint form will improve ease for Oklahomans to lodge a complaint directly with the Attorney General’s office”

Other airline customers, like Vivian Williams, would like to see it easier to recover lost items after making complaints.

“if their luggage does come up missing, they should have it easier for people to find their luggage because some people go on trips, and don’t even get their until after they get back home.” She said. “It’s an inconvenience.”
