Avelo Airlines has unveiled the largest expansion in its five year history, introducing 18 new services and marking its entry into international travel with flights to Montego Bay and Cancun.

At the core of the expansion are the seven destinations served from its new central Florida hub at Lakeland, due to open October 24th. The growth also includes expanded operations at the airline’s Connecticut and Central Florida bases. All of the new routes will be operated on a twice weekly frequency using an expanded 737NG fleet.

Avelo CEO Andrew Levy highlighted the expansion as a pivotal moment for the airline, emphasising its commitment to reliable and affordable travel. “Adding more airplanes and destinations, I am very excited about the momentum and growth we are seeing across our business,” Levy said. These expansions are expected to create numerous job opportunities in both regions”.
