The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is home to two major international airlines, Etihad and Emirates. Emirates operates a robust international network from Dubai, supported by its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777, all widebody fleet. The carrier, known to be the world’s largest operator of the double-decker A380, is also the operator of the world’s largest first class lounge.
Before we jump into the details of Dubai International Airport (DXB), an exquisite first class lounge, let’s understand the Emirates’ network of global lounges. Given the airline’s hub and spoke model and its perfect position as a springboard between Asia and Europe or North America and Africa, it is no surprise the airline has an extensive network of lounges across some of its most popular gateways.

With flights arriving and departing at all times of Dubai from around the world to Dubai, its three first class lounges at Dubai International Airport (DXB) never close and operate 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. However, one lounge in particular takes the cake for the largest, which is located in Concourse A. This lounge covers the entirety of the upper concourse floor.
