Terrell Davis’ camp and United Airlines are at odds over the NFL legend being placed on a no-fly list after he was controversially handcuffed following an incident with a flight attendant earlier this month.

While United Airlines says Davis was only on the list for one day as a result of the report filed by the flight attendant, who is no longer employed by United, Davis’ attorney alleges the NFL Hall of Famer had received no indication the travel ban was rescinded until Tuesday, after Davis posted a letter about the ban on social media.

United insists the ban was rescinded on July 15, two days after the incident.

Davis, 51, shared a screenshot of the letter from United’s Passenger Incident Review Committee on Tuesday morning, captioning the post, “Adding insult to injury, @united not only had me removed from their flight in handcuffs, but placed me on their No Fly List after it was determined I did nothing wrong and was released. While my family and I continue to have difficult conversations with our children, I will continue to fight for what is right for all passengers of @united.”

In separate slides, Davis — who had been traveling from Denver to California when the incident occurred on July 13 — said he and his family “have had to endure difficult conversations with our children about how this has and will continue to affect them,” noting wife Tamiko Nash “now has her own set of challenges, including watching what this has done to me despite me having to continue to push forward every day.”

The series of events unfolded aboard a flight earlier this month when Davis allegedly sought a cup of ice for his son.

The ex-Denver Bronco said he “lightly tapped” the arm of a flight attendant to get their attention and claimed the United employee then shouted, “Don’t hit me.”

Upon touching down in Orange County, passengers were instructed to stay seated by the pilot, according to Davis, who said, “Six FBI and law enforcement agents boarded the plane… proceeded directly to my seat and immediately placed me in handcuffs, while seated without any explanation.”

When taken for questioning, Davis said “it was rightfully determined by the agents that this flight attendant was inaccurate in his accusations,” and the authorities “profusely apologized.”

United Airlines later addressed the incident in a statement.

Davis added Tuesday the company “not only wrongfully accused me of something I did not do and had me handcuffed and detained, but they have failed on so many levels to demonstrate any genuine empathy for my family’s experience and also at making the real changes to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.”

“I was banned on this airline even after they sent a media-issued statement with a boilerplate ‘apology.’ They’ve somewhat admitted to wrongdoing but have done nothing to right this wrong,” he posted, adding, “… I will work to see the powerful held accountable for this mistreatment.”

In the wake of Davis’ Instagram post on Tuesday, United Airlines issued a statement to The Post that read: “Mr. Davis received this letter the day after the incident. It was generated due to the report of the flight attendant – who is no longer employed by United. The day after the letter was sent, we discussed with Mr. Davis’ team that it had been rescinded. We have apologized to Mr. Davis for his experience and continue to review our handling of incidents like this to protect our highest priority – the safety of our customers and crew.”

Davis’ attorney, Parker Stinar, told The Post in a separate statement Tuesday that “up until today, we had received no correspondence or communication indicating that the travel ban had been rescinded.”

“Mr. Davis did not see the initial correspondence until recently. Mr. Davis did not see the initial correspondence until recently, and we have released the email because of the lack of response from United across the board. We can confirm we had received no rescinding of this ban until today, just moments ago, and only after Mr. Davis posted his statement.”

Davis played for the Broncos from 1995 to 2001 and is a two-time Super Bowl champion.
