Southwest Airlines is expanding its nonstop flight offerings from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) for the Spring 2025 schedule, airport officials announced Thursday.

Starting March 6, 2025, the airline will introduce new seasonal nonstop service to Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) and year-round nonstop flights to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE).

The expansion also includes the return of seasonal routes to destinations such as Panama City, Florida; Montrose, Colorado; and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

At peak service, Southwest will operate 125 daily nonstop flights from AUS, reflecting a significant increase in the airline’s presence at the airport.

Ghizlane Badawi, AUS CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion, stating, “We appreciate Southwest’s investment into new and returning services and can’t wait for our travelers to enjoy more options to travel to and from Austin.”
