StandardAero has entered into an agreement with Corendon Airlines, a Turkish operator, to provide CFM International LEAP-1B engine services to the airline’s Boeing 737 MAX 8 fleet.

StandardAero will be supporting the aircraft engines from its new LEAP -1B and LEAP-1A MRO facility in San Antonio, Texas, and already provides services for Corendon’s CFM56-7B engines in its Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The site also has a Training Academy for LEAP technicians, housing the Aviation Mechanic Training Program, and has established LEAP-1B correlation approval for the first test cell in the complex.

“StandardAero is proud to have been entrusted by Corendon Airlines to provide LEAP-1B MRO services, adding Türkiye to our growing list of LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B customer nations,” said Will Pitcher, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customers for StandardAero’s Airlines & Fleets division. “We value the confidence shown by Corendon in our San Antonio-based LEAP team, and look forward to meeting the service expectations of Corendon and its passengers for many years to come.”

As well as MRO services, StandardAero is currently industrialising new engine component repairs for the LEAP family with its Component Repair Services network and its Repair Development Centre of Excellence. The CRS team has provided over 230 component repairs for the LEAP family engines to date.

Corendon Airlines flies to 165 airports in 65 countries and has a fleet of 15 Boeing 737-800 and 737-8 MAX aircraft.
