Copenhagen, September 22: A Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) flight from Norway’s Oslo to Spain’s Malaga was forced to make an emergency landing in Denmark’s Copenhagen on Wednesday, September 18, after a passenger found a live mouse in her in-flight meal. The incident prompted the aircraft to divert in accordance with company safety procedures.

A spokesperson for SAS confirmed that the rodent’s presence posed a significant safety risk, necessitating the detour, The Guardian reported. “This is something that happens extremely rarely,” said SAS spokesperson Oystein Schmidt. We have strict rules regarding rodents on board due to the risk of electrical wires being chewed through. We have established procedures for such situations, which also include a review with our suppliers to ensure this does not happen again.” Drunk EasyJet Passenger Forces London-Greece Flight To Make Emergency Landing, Attempts To Storm Cockpit, Open Exit, Hurl Abuses and More (Watch Video).
