Private jet flights are more accessible to the public than ever before. With new and relatively economical ways of enjoying private jet travel on the market, more people are getting their hands on private jets. Have you ever wondered about etiquette and how to behave on a private jet? When it is your first time, it can be overwhelming, so let’s take a look at what passengers might need to know before their first private jet experience.

Dress code

  • Formal business wear
  • Business casual
  • Relaxed and comfortable

Private jets have no official dress code, although most passengers wear formal business wear. Smart casual is also fine. Of course, regional attire is perfectly acceptable, especially in Africa and the Middle East. Of course, you have to be relaxed, too, so we would advise you to have comfortable clothing to change into or make use of the pajama sets onboard. That said, you can wear whatever you like; out of respect, it is better to stay smart-casual.

What Is The Nicest Interior Of A Private Jet That You Have Seen?

The interior cabin of a private jet is considered to be the most luxurious way to travel. These executive aircraft are typically fitted with spacious seats made of high-quality leather. Additionally, some larger private jets have extra amenities, such as full bathrooms with showers, bedrooms, and crew-rest sections of the cabin.

It can be somewhat difficult to get a flight on a private jet, but there are many other ways to look at these luxurious aircraft, including air shows and expos. What is the nicest interior that you have seen fitted on a private jet?

Behavior

  • Staying sober for the most part
  • No use of drugs onboard
  • Avoid rude or aggressive behavior

Although your private jet flight is meant to be luxurious and relaxing, there are some requests that, depending on the operator, may not be able to be fulfilled. For safety reasons, passengers should not get too drunk onboard. We will serve you alcohol when available (note: most private jets in the Middle East are dry and have no alcohol onboard), but you also have to be aware that it is inadvisable in case of any emergency. The use of drugs onboard is frowned upon. Please don’t be rude or aggressive.

Smoking is not always permitted, again depending on the operator. Partly for safety reasons but also because the smell lingers in the aircraft, making it unpleasant for the following passengers. It is advisable to check with the operator if you wish to smoke onboard. This will sometimes incur a cleaning cost or ‘damage’ cost. Privately owned jets that are chartered will likely not allow smoking onboard.

Issues

  • Be polite
  • Ask for assistance
  • Effectively communicate your concerns

If you have any issues onboard, please speak to a crew member, who will try to help the best they can. If you are unable to use the entertainment system or the satellite phone, they can assist with this. You might decide to eat a different meal on the flight; just let the flight attendant know, and they will prepare something else. Should you need any first aid items, toiletries, or a bed set up, the flight attendant will help you and ensure everything is as it should be.

At What Point Does Private Jet Travel Become More Appealing For You?

We’ve been covering a bit of executive/private aviation here on SF for some time, and I’ve heard from private jet companies all over the world about their business models … no matter how they frame it, traveling private seems to be very much a UHNWI (ultra high net worth individual) activity. But does it need to be? Some interesting models in the USA make private jet travel more appealing, such as jet cards or fractional ownership. These are less common in the UK, which got me wondering – at what point does chartering a private jet become more appealing? As a mum of two (plus the honorary 3rd child, my husband), I’m responsible for arranging family trips, and during school breaks, the cost of flights can really start to add up. We are tentatively planning a Japan trip for a couple of years, which will involve a long flight and could tempt me to splurge on an upgrade. But looking at premium cabin trips from the UK to Japan (or even from the USA to Japan, given transatlanti

According to Blade,

“For a successful private jet travel experience, passengers should be aware of baggage policies, arrive early to the airport, comply with security protocols, and communicate any special needs or requests to ensure a seamless and enjoyable journey.”

Requests

Any special requests should be made in advance to the operator so that the flight attendant can make sure that they are onboard. This can include certain meals, snacks, toiletries, even movies and games. Some passengers don’t like flowers onboard, so you can request for them to be removed.

The operator can pretty much arrange anything, whether it is a birthday party or just a pet traveling alone. Some requests may not be permissible if they endanger anyone’s safety.

Appreciation

Talk to the crew, and if you have any questions, please do ask. They are there for your comfort and safety and will do their utmost to help. If you have any safety concerns or are scared of flying, please advise the crew, and they will make the flight as pleasant as possible.

The crew like you to be happy, so a smile and a ‘thank you’ is always appreciated. Tips are accepted by crew on private aircraft but are never an expectation.
