Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) recently supported the airfares of two-month-old Arabella Gilvanni anak Zulhelmi for urgent cardiac surgery in Kuala Lumpur, a life-saving procedure funded by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.

The national flag carrier responded to a request from Datin Paduka Dr Lim Meng Keang and the Paediatric Team at RIPAS Hospital to sponsor the newborn with her mother and a nurse.

RB was honoured to step forward and ensure that Arabella could travel safely for this critical treatment.

This heartfelt support reflects RB’s core values and the ‘Ikhlas From The Heart’ service philosophy, which will be launched as part of the airline’s 50th Anniversary celebrations on 18 November 2024.

Over the past five decades, RB has proudly served as a bridge connecting Brunei to the world and as a dedicated community member committed to helping when needed.

Arabella’s journey is one of many examples of how RB has continuously extended a hand to those in need, providing essential support in times of crisis.

These efforts underscore the airline’s long-standing promise to serve with sincerity and to make a positive difference in the lives of those it touches.

As RB celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year, the airline remains steadfast in its mission to deliver world-class service excellence in the air and uplift the community on the ground.

“The story of Arabella and her family reminds us of the power of kindness. As RB continues its journey forward, we are driven by the belief that every act of compassion brings us closer together,” said RB.
