Claim: Visuals of the Singapore Airlines passengers experiencing heavy turbulence on board.

Fact: This is an old video from 2019 that shows the passengers on board ALK Airlines headed towards EuroAirport Basel from Pristina, experiencing turbulence. Hence, the claim made in the post is Misleading.

Firstly, we observed that this video carried a logo of the media organisation ‘Sky News’ and also carried a text that reads ‘MIRJETA BASHA.’ Taking this as a hint, we performed a keyword search to learn more about the viral video. This search led us to a video report by ‘ABC7’ from June 2019 which carried the same video.

According to this report, this video was captured on an ALK Airlines flight when it experienced turbulence in June 2019. A further search also fetched the video report of Sky News uploaded on their ‘X’ handle. According to this report, ten people had minor injuries on this flight travelling from Pristina to EuroAirport Basel.
