This unique aircraft has a range of 4,750 nautical miles (5,466 miles), which allows Rooney to fly anywhere he wants within Europe. The Falcon 900LX can also transport him to much of Asia and Africa. It can also transport Rooney and his family to much of the United States and may be able to reach South America, depending on where he takes off from Europe.

The cabin of the aircraft can fit up to 14 passengers, although most configurations can fit 12 passengers. The cabin has the following dimensions:

  • Cabin height: 6.17 inches
  • Cabin width: 7.67 feet
  • Cabin length: 33.2 feet

This larger cabin provides sufficient space for each passenger. Its total cabin volume is 1,264 cubic feet. The aircraft can also fit enough baggage for each passenger, as its total baggage volume is 127 cubic feet.

About the Dassault Falcon 900LX

Dassault Aviation originally developed the Falcon 900 in the early 1980s. The business jet was based on the successful Falcon 50. The newer Falcon 90 kept the same tri-jet configuration but significantly improved its performance. These improvements include upgraded engines which provided over 1,000 additional pounds of thrust, a longer fuselage, higher maximum takeoff weight (MTOW), higher top speed, and a range that was approximately 1,000 more miles.

The aircraft was first announced in 1984, and it flew for the first time in September of that year. The aircraft was certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the French aviation authorities in 1986, and deliveries began later that year.

Since then, Dassault Aviation has introduced several upgraded variants. In 1991, Dassault released the Falcon 900B. This variant added upgraded engines, which added 250 more pounds of force. A replacement for the Falcon 900B was the Falcon 900C, which was released in 2000.

After the Falcon 900B was introduced, the Falcon 900EX began production. This aircraft added new engines, which had 5,000 pounds of force. It also utilized a new avionics system, which was the Honeywell Primus. This entered service in 1996. A longer-range version of this aircraft, which was called the Falcon 900EX EASy, was produced from 2004 to 2009.
