CargoAi announced the launch of its latest feature Allotment, which simplifies & automates batch pre-booking & allotment for regular air cargo for more than 40 airlines across over 130 countries.

The addition to CargoAi’s digital ecosystem streamlines the operational booking process for freight forwarders looking to remove manual repetitive tasks & improved operators’ experience, says an official release.

“CargoAi’s allotment feature stands out by simplifying & automating the regular booking of cargo space, thus eliminating the repetitive manual shipment-by-shipment process and reducing the potential for errors. This cutting-edge feature allows freight forwarders to secure space in batches on flights seamlessly, ensuring timely and consistent shipment deliveries – cutting down the overall process from days, waiting for confirmations from multiple airlines, down to a few seconds thanks to their batch allotment upload solution & instant confirmation feature.

“Allotment – already adopted by multiple small & large forwarders – offers a plug & play solution into existing processes and helps reduce the operational workload by up to 99 percent for allotment bookings.”

Matt Petot, CEO, CargoAi says: “Our new allotment feature represents a significant leap forward in our mission to digitise and simplify the air cargo booking process. By automating space bookings, we are not only saving time for our users but also increasing their operational efficiency. This is a game-changer for large and medium-size freight forwarders who heavily rely on regular and reliable cargo space.”

Maxime Boucher, Chicago Export Gateway Manager, Flexport adds: ““We have been using the CargoAi pre-booking and allotment’s feature since March 2024. This has simplified our pre-booking process and we get automatic acceptance confirmation on our bookings ultimately saving time for our operations. We also no longer have to remember to chase confirmation on pre-bookings.”

The feature offers four benefits:

Speed – Forwarders can pre-book their allotment space in batches instead of asking & chasing confirmation shipment per shipment, reducing the overall operational process.

Autonomy – Forwarders gain control over the allotment booking flow, including frequency, in accordance with airlines’ booking windows. This feature empowers users to manage their bookings autonomously, without reliance on intermediaries nor the need to endlessly chase confirmation.

Flexibility – Forwarders generate bookings directly from their CargoMART account with the ability to modify or cancel as needed. Modifications and cancellations are subject to conditions defined and agreed upon providing users with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs; and

Traceability – Users can track and trace all allotment bookings directly in-app and via email ensuring full transparency and real-time updates on shipment status.
