Some of the games the carrier has added flights for include the University of Texas-Austin at the University of Michigan on September 7 and the University of Alabama at Louisiana State University on November 9, among others. United will also fly widebody jets to some of the popular games this season. CBS News quotes Patrick Quayle, United’s SVP of global network planning and alliances, as saying,

“Connecting travelers to the moments that matter most to them is at the core of what we do at United. We know fans will appreciate this year’s special football schedule that will make it easier to cheer on their teams on the road.”

Flight schedule

United has arranged flights for travel to the games on Friday and return on Sunday. The only exception is for the BTR-LAS flight departing on Saturday, August 31, and returning on Monday, September 2. The schedule is as follows:

Of course, United isn’t the only major US carrier to add more flights for the college football season. In May, Delta announced that it was adding over 50 flights and 5,600 seats for the games, focusing on big matchups like Alabama, Ohio State, and LSU.
