MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Minot International Airport is topping the charts.

With the addition of Allegiant’s Orlando-Sanford destination, Minot has seen an influx in flights.

Minot International Airport is making its mark with Allegiant Airlines. From 2023 to 2024, Minot International saw an increase of more than 150 flights.

Phoenix-Mesa and Las Vegas are also destinations contributing to the increase, as well as the demographics of Minot itself.

“In general, we have a very diverse population. Part of that is because of the Air Force Base, but in addition to that, we have a lot of individuals that work in the energy market,” said Airport Director Jennifer Eckman.

The airport even had 85% more seats arriving to the Magic City in 2023.

Eckman shared that they meet annually with Allegiant and that a new destination is possible.
