Jennifer Aument, CEO of The New Terminal One, commented,

“With our 2026 opening on the horizon, our commitment to becoming JFK’s top choice for global airlines is stronger than ever. We are grateful to Neos for their confidence and look forward to welcoming them to our terminal.”

Other major carriers that have already committed to the new terminal include Air France, Air Serbia, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, KLM, Korean Air, LOT Polish Airlines and SAS. The New Terminal One is the centerpiece of JFK Airport’s huge $19 billion redevelopment which will see two new terminals, redesigned transport links, and the expansion of two further terminals, among other modernization efforts.

Neos’ US network

As per data from Cirium, Neos presently operates three weekly flights to JFK from its Milan Malpensa (MXP) hub and a twice-weekly flight from Palermo (PMO). Both of these routes are served by the carrier’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, which offers a high-density 359-seat layout of 28 in premium economy and 331 in economy.

Neos maintains an interesting network of over 50 destinations worldwide, connecting Italy with countries as far as Canada, China, India and the US. Along with a fleet of six 787-9 Dreamliners, Neos operates five Boeing 737-800s and five 737 MAX 8s.

Aiming to be one of the world’s best terminals

With a scheduled completion date of 2030, the New Terminal One will be the largest at JFK at 2.6 million square feet. The project has clearly stated its ambition to “be ranked among the top 5 Skytrax terminals globally,” a list perennially headed up by the likes of Singapore Changi (SIN) and Doha’s Hamad International (DOH).
