for adults, Emirates also offers a range of kids’ meal options (including baby food and milk and bottle warming). Here are some of the considerable in-flight dining options for Emirates flights. Emirates takes its first class menus very seriously and states, “from gourmet bites and rich caviar, to a fine multicourse meal or a movie snack, dining in First Class is always a unique experience.” Passengers can also enjoy three-course vegetarian and vegan meals with options like zucchini tart, jackfruit biryani or vegan mapo tofu.

Besides a wide selection of appetizers, snacks, and a full selection of drinks, long-haul first class flights’ main menus include pan-fried beef tenderloin, Bzar chicken, Kofta sweet and sour, and pan-seared salmon trout. Even short-haul first class flights ofter main meals (including chicken kebab and kofta sweet and sour).

Business class passengers can preorder their main courses up to 24 hours in advance and as early as 14 days before the flight. This service is available exclusively in business class on selected flights (although Emirates is planning to expand the service to other flights).

Preordering is done after booking the flight through the Manage Your Booking portal on the website. If preordering is available for that flight, the option will be found on the menu. Passengers can only preorder the main meal. Emirates states, “Your main courses will be available to preorder, and you can choose your appetizer, dessert, and other menu options once you’re on board.”

Even Emirates economy class meals are some of the best in the industry for the class of ticket. Passengers are served hot meals on long-haul and short-haul flights. Passengers with dietary restrictions can also notify the airline in advance to get the meals they need; Emirates states, “We serve gluten‑friendly and low‑lactose meals, as well as meals to suit other medical conditions.” If passengers are still peakish after the meal, they can request another meal (although being served extra meals depends if there are meals left over).

Economy passengers enjoy a multicourse meal with a selection of fresh fruit, dessert, crackers and cheese, and more. Economy class passengers enjoy a selection of wines, beers, and spirits. If the complimentary drinks are not to one’s liking, economy passengers can purchase Champagne and other drinks for a small fee.

Passengers can upgrade to enjoy a special meal in the skies when flying from Dubai. Emirates states, “Arrange a cake and champagne package when you fly from Dubai. Savour a luscious vanilla cake or rich chocolate lovers’ cake with a 20cl bottle of Moët et Chandon Brut Impérial for USD 43. Or order a celebration cake for a special occasion for only USD 30 when you fly from any destination. Simply order 48 hours before your flight.

The celebration cakes are free for first and business class passengers and are available for purchase for economy and premium economy passengers. Additionally, Emirates serves a selection of religious meals. These include the Indian Vegetarian Meal (AVML), Non‑Vegetarian Hindu Meal (HNML), Vegetarian Jain Meal (VJML), Kosher Meal (KSML).
