This beautiful private jet interior has been designed by Greenpoint Technologies and is named appropriately ‘Retreat.’ The aim was to bring the outdoors to an airliner cabin and create a modern yet relaxing atmosphere. A sophisticated oasis, if you will.

Health and wellness-themed

It was designed especially for a client and focuses on health and self-care. It needed to be a serene place and also offer a nurturing environment.

The inspiration came from recent wellness trends and luxury spa retreats, but it also had to be sustainable, featuring live greenery and intuitive technology. It was to be a haven from the busy jet-set life, be timelessly elegant, and offer a rejuvenating experience.

The entrance

The entrance is through a rotunda, and internally lit terrariums encase tropical landscapes. The key design features throughout the cabin are white high gloss architecture with sustainable oak, curved profiles, and scalloped edges. The cabin ceiling is inspired by flowing water and has high gloss metallic effect panels that create an image reminiscent of a meandering river. The design flows through the cabin seamlessly.

Forward lounge

The forward lounge was designed for comfort, relaxation, and entertainment. The high-gloss white surfaces team with oak carpentry. Velvet is featured to create plush furnishings. Soft LED lighting and organic greenery come together to create a calming space.

Large outboard OLED panels can display either images of the destination or a bird’s eye view of the journey via externally fitted HD cameras. Inflight entertainment can also be shown on the panels. Advanced technology is hidden away by bespoke cabinetry. It is a uniquely interactive space.

The master suite

This space features gradient opaque glass walls and continues the theme of a luxurious oasis where travelers can rest and relax. There is a king-size bed with a wrap-around headboard. In the private bathroom, there is an oversized rain shower, and it even has underfloor heating.

Guests will feel refreshed and rested by the time they get to their destination. At the rear of the aircraft, there is also a lounge, which recreates a spa relaxation area. Tactile velvet chaise seating allows passengers to relax and enjoy the therapeutic journey.

Award-winning

Greenpoint Technologies ‘Retreat’ creates a modern but sophisticated haven of tranquility. The design was a finalist in the Society of British and International Design Awards and won an International Yacht and Aviation award.

“We recreated the experience of a luxury spa retreat. The Retreat interior brings together organic forms, live greenery and progressive intuitive technology. The atmosphere is serene and modern – designed to encourage relaxation and self-care priorities. The result is a wellbeing haven, wherever you are in the world.”
