Emirates Places A Massive Order For The Boeing 777X At The Dubai Airshow
Emirates has increased the backlog of its Boeing 777X aircraft to 205, with the airline ordering 90 777X aircraft during the 2023 Dubai Airshow. The deal also includes a rejig of its Boeing 787 order book, with the airline now planning to take delivery of a total of 35 Boeing 787s: 20 787-8 and 15 787-10 aircraft.
Ethiopian Airlines Signs For 67 More Boeing Aircraft Including 737 MAX & 787 Dreamliners
Ethiopian Airlines has ordered more Boeing 737 MAX and 787 aircraft, with a firm order of up to 31 aircraft, split between 20 737 MAXs and 11 787-9s. The airline also has options for 21 and 15 aircraft of the type, respectively. The order was announced at the Dubai Airshow 2023, and you can read more about it here!

flydubai Places Its First Widebody Order With Commitment For 30 Boeing 787 Dreamliners At The Dubai Airshow
Hot on the heels of a massive order by Emirates for the Boeing 777X, Dubai’s low-cost carrier flydubai signed an order for the first widebodies in its history. The airline made a firm order with Boeing for 30 787-9 Dreamliners, to be delivered from 2026 and valued at $11 billion. You can take a closer look at our coverage here!

EgyptAir Places An Order For 10 Airbus A350-900 Aircraft
Another widebody aircraft order was revealed at the Dubai Airshow on Tuesday. Egyptair announced an order for 10 Airbus A350-900 planes, as it looks to take advantage of the modern fuel-efficient aircraft in the coming years.

Ethiopian Shares The Love With An Order For Airbus A350-900s At The Dubai Airshow
Leading African carrier Ethiopian Airlines spread the manufacturer love around at the Dubai Airshow with an order for 11 more Airbus A350s. The order came just a day after the airline committed to a further 67 Boeing aircraft, including the 737 MAX and 787 Dreamliner. You can find out more about this development here!

Emirates Orders More Airbus A350-900s But No -1000
Emirates provided a boost to Airbus on day four of the Dubai Airshow, with a firm order for another 15 A350-900s. The airline had been rumored to be in discussion with Airbus all week, but the lack of -1000s in the order speaks volumes to the President’s opinion of the Rolls-Royce Trent engines, which Sir Tim Clark described previously as being ‘defective.’ You can read more on the matter here!
