TUI fly (TUI Airlines Germany) is celebrating its 50th anniversary and is using this Boeing 737-8 MAX 8 registered as D-AMAH to show its history to date with this special livery, from Hapag-Lloyd Flug to its foray into the low-cost flight segment as Hapag-Lloyd Express between 2002 and 2006 and now part of the multinational corporation TUI Group. 

The special livery is a combination of the three liveries.

The airline issued this statement on social media:

We’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of TUI fly.

The first flight took off from Hamburg to Ibiza on March 30, 1973 – a Boeing 727-100.

Today, in 2023, it’s a Boeing 737-8 that has flown from Hanover to Ibiza to celebrate the birthday on the Balearic Island.

Together with Sybille Reiß, Chief People Officer TUI Group, Marco Ciomperlik, Chief Airline Officer TUI Group, and Benjamin Jacobi, Chief Commercial Officer TUI in Germany, also colleagues from TUI fly and many travel agencies were on board and joined the anniversary celebration.

TUI Group CEO Sebastian Ebel announced on the occasion of this special birthday: “50 years of flying with TUI fly is an extraordinary milestone. Over the next few weeks, I look forward to visiting our colleagues and thank them for their commitment.”
