Condor’s A330 arrives in Boston
The German carrier has deployed its next-generation Airbus widebody on its seasonal Frankfurt-Boston route, which will operate up to six times a week (except Sundays) this summer.
Mikko Turtiainen, Condor’s director of sales for the Americas, commented,
“Boston is one of the most important transatlantic gateways in the northeast and a key gateway for Condor’s growing US network. We are thrilled to introduce our A330neo to this market. The A330neo is truly a game-changer for Condor and for transatlantic travel, and we are excited to introduce our next-generation aircraft to both business and leisure travelers in Boston.”

Boston is one of 18 direct connections Condor will have with the US this summer out of its Frankfurt hub. According to data from Cirium, Condor will operate up to 58 weekly roundtrips this summer, amounting to almost 36,000 weekly seats. Its busiest routes will be to Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA) with a daily A330neo flight.
Connection opportunities
Condor passengers flying into Boston will be able to connect to partner JetBlue’s extensive services out of the airport, which includes over 50 scheduled destinations and dozens of seasonal routes. As for passengers going the other way, Condor boasts onward connections to over 100 destinations through its Frankfurt hub. Ed Freni, Massport’s interim CEO and director of aviation, added,
“We are excited that Condor has decided to bring their new, state-of-the-art aircraft to Boston. Condor provides our passengers with even more choice to visit Germany and more than a hundred other destinations across Europe.”

No more 767
The carrier said farewell to its loyal 767 fleet with its final passenger flight in March, putting an end to over 33 years of operating the type. Since 2022, the carrier has phased out over a dozen 767s as it welcomes the A330neo into its fleet.
Its first two A330neos arrived in December 2022 and it now operates 15 of the widebodies in a three-class layout, seating 30 in business class, 64 in premium economy and 216 in economy. The passenger experience onboard an A330neo is undoubtedly a step up thanks to the quieter and more spacious Airspace cabin – as for its business cabin, the airline has opted for a 1-2-1 configuration offering direct aisle access for all passengers, while the front four seats are considered “Prime Seats” and offer extra perks, like exclusive amenity kits and larger entertainment screens.
Condor operated its first revenue A330neo flight in February 2023 with a service between Frankfurt and New York – the airline has certainly turned heads with its striped livery choice too, which has left aviation fans either loving it or hating it. The jet offers an industry-leading fuel consumption rate of 62 miles per half a gallon, per passenger, as well as noise reductions of up to 60%.
