On Friday, May 10, GO7 officially announced a new, unique partnership between a world-class airline and a globally known private helicopter charter company. Emirates and Blade have entered a new partnership signed in to place on May 8 at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai. Blade, which has historically connected Nice, France, to Monaco, will now offer helicopter rides as a part of an Emirates ticket. This allows select Emirates passengers to take advantage of helicopter rides to Nice after landing in Monaco. This is projected to allow Emirates customers to skip over an hour of traffic.

Passengers can arrive at the airport in mint condition after a scenic and swift transfer between downtown Manhatten to their airport of choice.

As previously mentioned, Blade, which is based out of New York City, New York, has an existing infrastructure in place that connects Nice, France, to Monaco. The helicopter charter company has been operating this route for customers since 2022. Blade offers these scheduled flights through Monacair. Monacair also offers helicopter flights and is based at Monaco Heliport in Monaco.

The Chief Executive Officer of Blade Europe, Remi Bouysset, spoke about the new partnership. Bouysset stated,

“We are delighted to offer Emirates passengers the ability to fly from Dubai into Monaco with a seamless connection from their Emirates flight directly to a BLADE helicopter to Monaco. They will enjoy the best views of the French Riviera while skipping an hour and a half of traffic. With the time they save, they will have plenty of time to enjoy our Monaco BLADE Lounge upon their arrival or one of our Nice lounges upon their return.”

The partnership specifically allows select Emirates passengers to take advantage of the existing Blade infrastructure in the area. Passengers that fly into Nice, France, through Dubai can now easily take advantage of scheduled helicopter rides to Monaco. This allows them to bypass significant traffic and adds to the unique and luxurious Emirates experience. The Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, Adnan Kazim, has stated that this helicopter ride can take as little as seven minutes.

Kazim also stated,

“Emirates has been serving Nice with world-class services for more than 30 years, and we look forward to raising the bar even higher with seamless door-to-door travel experiences. We remain committed to the French Riviera and look forward to flying our customers better in the air and on-ground.”

Currently, Emirates offers a daily service connecting Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) to Dubai International Service (DXB). These flights take place daily at:

  • Departs Nice at 15:55 local time and arrives in Dubai the following day at 00:10 local time.
  • Departs Dubai at 08:45 local time and arrives in Nice at 13:40 local time.

As previously mentioned, this new partnership was facilitated by GO7. The distribution solution company provides a global ticketing platform called W2. This gives Emirates passengers who are already purchasing a ticket to continue their travel to Monaco through Nice by automatically selecting the Blade option. This allows passengers to experience a streamlined journey from booking to arriving at their destination.
