Kevin J. Thibault, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, said,
“We are delighted to welcome Flair Airlines to Orlando International Airport. This partnership provides travelers with greater, more convenient access to both Orlando and Canada.”
Flights on the return journey have an even lower starting price, with fares as low as $44 from Orlando to Kitchener-Waterloo, $54 from Orlando to Toronto, and $59 from Orlando to London and Saint John. Toronto will see up to 12 weekly roundtrips during peak travel periods, with Flair set to compete with four other airlines – Air Canada, Jetlines, Porter Airlines and WestJet – on this route.
Flair will be uncontested on its upcoming routes from regional airports Kitchener-Waterloo, London, and Saint John, which are set to benefit from a key tourism draw in Orlando, particularly Saint John, which currently only has domestic connections.
Garth Lund, CCO of Flair Airlines, commented,
“For travelers seeking affordable and convenient options to explore Orlando’s world-renowned attractions, Flair offers unbeatable value. Whether it’s families planning a magical vacation or sun-seeking snowbirds escaping the great Canadian winter, Flair’s mission is to make affordable air travel possible for all.”
From Orlando Sandford to MCO
Flair launched a couple of new routes to Orlando last winter, but these flights were based out of secondary airport Orlando Sandford (SFB). According to Cirium data, this summer, the Canadian carrier will serve just one Florida destination, Fort Lauderdale (FLL), before its expansion this winter.
