The Dominican Republic’s La Romana is strengthening its presence in the country. Beginning on December 5, Airbus A319 flights between La Romana International Airport and Miami International Airport will operate daily.

“We are proud to continue to grow our presence in the Dominican Republic with
our long-awaited return to La Romana,” said Oliver Bojos, American Airlines’ Regional Manager in the Central Caribbean.

He indicated that “next year we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary in the country with a record operation, reinforcing our commitment to the Dominican Republic, our local team and our customers, who year after year select American as their airline of choice.”

For the winter operation in the Dominican Republic, American plans to operate up to 25 daily flights on peak days to five destinations: La Romana, Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Santiago, and Santo Domingo.

The airline will offer 5% more flights and 6% more seats than during its record-breaking operation last winter.

Tickets will be on sale on the airline’s website or mobile app from May 20.
