COMMONWEALTH Ports Authority Executive Director Leo Tudela on Friday approved Hong Kong Airlines’ request for permission to land additional flights at the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport.
The extra flights are tentatively scheduled to arrive Wednesdays from July 17 to Aug. 21, 2024.
This is “another exciting news” in addition to Jeju Airlines’ additional flights from July 13 to Sept. 20, 2024, Tudela said.
In his approval notice to Hong Kong Airlines, Tudela said the additional flights will be included in CPA’s monthly flight schedule starting July 2024.
“CPA is ecstatic to see additional flights to the CNMI and we extend our most sincere appreciation and thanks to Hong Kong Airlines,” he said.
Hong Kong Airlines resumed its flight service to Saipan on April 29, 2024 with 292 passengers.
The airlines suspended its flights to Saipan in 2019.
