Air France has updated its passenger experience for La Première passengers at Paris Charles De Gaulle International Airport (CDG) ahead of the upcoming Summer Olympic and Paralympic Olympic Games, which are going to kick off on July 26, 2024.
Exclusive and new first class experience
According to the French airline, it remains committed to upgrading the La Première experience, which is its equivalent of first class. While new cabins will be introduced during the latter half of the year, Air France is already announcing changes to the airport-side experience at CDG, its main hub.

Air France stated that a dedicated check-in lobby and spacious suites should offer an even more seamless and completely private journey through the airport starting in July. The carrier noted that the upgrades would come just in time for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, with Air France being the official partner of the Games.

Dedicated check-in lobby for La Première
Detailing the special check-in lobby for its first class passengers, Air France said that every La Première would be welcomed by a dedicated concierge who will promptly attend to a traveler’s baggage. Subsequently, they will be guided to an exclusive check-in lobby, marking the beginning of a personalized journey through CDG. There, passengers will be met by Air France’s employees, who will manage all departure-related processes. The area itself will include 15 seats and two private lounges that will enhance privacy for travelers.

However, Air France noted that the private lobby lounge is reserved for those who have enrolled in the ‘suites’ option of La Première. These suites are offered for €800 ($865.95) for each passenger and are only available for those traveling with Air France’s first class ticket.
At the same time, the lobby will also be available for those first class passengers who are arriving at CDG, providing an option to relax following their itinerary, including shower facilities. Travelers will be able to retrieve their luggage at the dedicated check-in lobby.

Following the completion of all departure-related processes, passengers can choose to go to the La Première lounge via an exclusive passage with a dedicated security checkpoint. Air France highlighted that the passageway will have accents of the the airline’s iconic winged seahorse, immersing guests in the world of La Première.

Exclusive lounge at CDG
Didier Lefort, the manager and founder of the architectural agency DL2A, designed the new and exclusive La Première lounge. Air France described the lounge as a place of exclusivity, with an area covering 10,700 square feet (1,000 square meters) that offers passengers a sense of serenity and an extraordinary experience. Air France will also add private suites next to the exclusive lounge. At 500 ft² sq. (45 m²), the three suites will feature spacious living areas, a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom, and an outdoor patio.

The French carrier has also teased that it will introduce the new La Première cabins during the winter 2024-2025 season, which will set a standard in length since it would offer five windows to its passengers. In addition, the new first class seats will transform into three configurations, including a seat, a chaise lounge, and a flat bed. The innovative configuration will be added to more aircraft than La Première is currently present on.
