- Jet2 will offer over 340 weekly flights to 58 destinations this summer, expanding its A321neo fleet.
Jet2 is the UK’s third-largest scheduled airline and one of the world’s fastest-growing low-cost leisure airlines. Using its Airbus and Boeing aircraft fleets, the Leeds-based carrier operates flights to 80 European destinations from 12 airports.
Jet2 currently operates eight Airbus A321neos, and 67 additional aircraft are scheduled to be delivered. As the airline pursues its expansion goals this summer, it will increase its flights and add new routes to its A321neo schedule.
In June, there were 22 Jet2 routes (11 corridors) with 15 or more A321neo rotations. Only six routes did not have Manchester (MAN) as the origin or destination airport. Twelve of the routes started or ended on a Spanish island, such as one of the Canary Islands or Mallorca.
June’s most frequent Jet2 A321neo route connects Manchester (MAN) and Tenerife South Airport (TFS). The longest route is in the Birmingham (BHX)─Lanzarote (ACE) corridor, at 2,115 miles (3,404 km). The shortest route—between MAN and Palma De Mallorca (PMI)—is only 982 miles (1,580 km).
Jet2’s A321 fleet
Jet2’s largest Airbus fleet is its A321 fleet. The airline currently operates 11 A321-200s, eight of which are neos. According to ch-aviation, all eight of Jet2’s current A321neos are the NX variant. This means they are equipped with the Airbus Cabin Flex configuration, allowing additional passenger seating.
Jet2 will offer more than 340 weekly flights to 58 destinations this summer during peak periods. Further, the airline plans to increase flights to and from Manchester Airport (MAN), per Travel Weekly.
As this busy summer schedule begins and the expansion of its A321 fleet approaches, the airline has incorporated its existing A321neos on routes to various European destinations.

Jet2 is adding capacity on nine sunny routes out of Manchester Airport starting in April.
Route #1: MAN–TFS
According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, the A321neo route with the most operations in June is between Manchester (MAN) and Tenerife South Airport (TFS). This popular tourist destination is the largest island in the Canary Islands, and Jet2 hopes to satisfy these travelers with its increased flight availability.
Jet2’s A321neos operate the route 31 times each way, carrying up to 232 passengers 1,893 miles (3,046 km). The average flight time is four and a half hours. Jet2’s major competitors on the route include easyJet, a UK low-cost carrier, and TUI Airways, the British arm of the German TUI Airline group. While easyJet also uses Airbus jets on the route, typically employing its A320s, TUI uses its Boeing 737 and 737 MAX fleet.
Route #2: MAN–PMI
Jet2’s second most frequent June A321neo route connects Manchester with another Spanish island, Mallorca. In June, the airline’s Manchester (MAN)–Palma de Mallorca (PMI) corridor will operate 29 A321neo flights in each direction. This 982-mile (1580 km) flight is the shortest on the aircraft’s summer schedule. Passengers can leave the UK and reach the largest Balearic Island in about two hours.
Jet2’s biggest competitors in the corridor are TUI and Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair. These airlines use their Boeing 737s and 737MAXs fleets to cover the route. Jet2 also uses other aircraft, including its Boeing 757s, to connect these cities.

Route #3: MAN–ACE
In June, the third most frequent route for Jet2’s A321neos connects Manchester to the Canary Islands again. This time, the A321neos will fly to Lanzarote, the easternmost of the islands. The airline’s Manchester (MAN)–Lanzarote (ACE) corridor will see 28 flights in each direction, averaging about one round trip daily. Each 1,780-mile (2,865 km) flight lasts around four hours.
Again, competitor airlines on this route include TUI and Ryanair. These airlines operate flights on the route with their Boeing 737s or 737MAXs. Jet2 also uses its 737s and 757s on this route. This route is not the only one to Lanzarote that Jet2 will operate using its A321neos. The airline will also operate 15 flights to ACE from Birmingham (BHX) in June, with 15 return flights.
Route #4: MAN–HER
The fourth most frequent route for Jet2’s A321neos is between Manchester and Heraklion (HER), the capital of the Greek island of Crete. Statistica states this largest and most populous Greek island hosts around five million tourists a year. Jet2’s A321s will carry over 5,000 passengers to its shores in June. The 1,822-mile (2,932 km) MAN–HER route has a flight time of around four hours and twenty minutes, although flights often arrive in HER in under four hours. Next month, Jet2’s A321neos will operate 22 flights each way in this corridor.
Competitors on this route include TUI and Corendon Airlines, a Turkish leisure airline based at Antalya Airport (AYT). TUI primarily uses its Boeing 737s and 737 MAXs, although it also operates its 787s on the route. Corendon Airlines uses its fleet of 737s in the corridor. Jet2 also flies its Boeing 737s and 757s on this route.
Route #5: MAN–IBZ
Jet2’s A321neo route, connecting Manchester (MAN) and Ibiza (IBZ), takes the fifth-place spot. Ibiza, a Balearic Island (like Mallorca) known for its nightlife, is a popular tourist destination for Brits.
The UK-based Jet2 will operate 22 flights each way on this route in June. With a distance of 1,015 miles (1,633 km), passengers can expect a flight time of just under two and a half hours.
Once again, other airlines operating in this corridor include TUI and Ryanair. Both airlines use their fleets of 737s and 737MAXs to carry passengers to and from the popular Spanish island. Jet2 also flies its 737s and 757s along the route.
Other A321neo routes
Jet2’s A321neos will fly six additional routes in June. Three routes will operate out of Birmingham (BHX) rather than Manchester (MAN). Destinations include:
- Kos, Greece (KGS)
- Málaga, Spain (AGP)
- Antalya, Turkey (AYT)
- Larnaca, Cyprus (LCA)
