Summary
- Frontier Miles has four elite levels: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond – with benefits from free luggage to priority boarding.
- Status points are earned from flights and credit card spending with increasing points needed for each elite level.
- “Last Seat” award bookings offers the highest availability for all elite members, with Diamond level providing even more value with free Discount Den membership.
Frontier Miles is the points and loyalty program of US-based Frontier Airlines. Frontier is a low-cost airline and is not a member of any of the main airline alliances. As such, its loyalty program is more limited than others, with no grand or aspirational benefits or global use. But it does offer valuable benefits for regular Frontier flyers, with four elite levels offering increasing benefits.
There are real and tangible benefits guaranteed from the lowest level. By the time you reach the highest level of Diamond, you will receive free carry-on and checked luggage, free seats, discounts on fares, increased ticket flexibility, and more.
Elite status with Frontier Miles
The Frontier Miles program was revamped in early 2024. There were only minor changes to benefits, but a new elite level of Silver was introduced. There are now four elite levels (plus a standard free entry-level): Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

Status points are earned similarly to miles – but only from flights and from credit card spending. This includes the elite status bonus for flights. Status points are not earned from spending on hotels, car hire, or elsewhere.
Progress up the levels is as follows:

---|---|
Elite Silver |
10,000 |
Elite Gold |
20,000 |
Elite Platinum |
50,000 |
Elite Diamond |

The value of “Last Seat” booking
One of the standout features of the Frontier Miles program is the award pricing system, and the option for “Last Seat” booking is particularly important. This is a benefit available to all elite members, starting at Silver.
Frontier Miles prices awards at three different levels:
- Value. This lowest-priced category has the least availability. Value seats are more likely to be available when booking further in advance, at off-peak times, and on less popular routes.
- Standard. This category is also restricted, but more seats are available at higher prices.
- Last Seat. This is the highest-priced option, but it guarantees an available seat on any flight that is not sold out.
Award region/route |
Value award price (miles) |
Standard award price (miles) |
Last Seat award price (miles) |
---|---|---|---|
Within the US and Puerto Rico |
10,000 |
20,000 |
22,500 |
To/from Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, El Salvador, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Antigua |
15,000 |
25,000 |
27,500 |
Of course, going higher in the status levels brings even more value. Discount Den membership is offered free at the Diamond level, which gives potentially good discounts on cash fares.

Additional benefits from a Frontier Airlines credit card
Like most loyalty programs, Frontier Miles offers co-branded credit cards. These allow miles to be earned from spending, and also boost elite status earning. There are also benefits from cards in their own right (independent of elite status).
