Delta says it is increasing its scheduled seat capacity to ski destinations from LAX by 25% this winter. Year-round Aspen (ASE) flights and the new route to Jackson Hole will be complemented by the relaunch of daily flights to Bozeman (BZN) and Vail (EGE). Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, Joe Esposito, said:
“Delta is creating essential connections from our growing hub and state-of-the-art facilities in Los Angeles and across the US to bring premier ski resorts within easy reach this winter.”

Both new routes will operate with SkyWest Airlines (OO) Embraer E175 aircraft. The service to SUN will be operated on a Saturday-only basis, meaning the capacity of the offer will not be very significant. The JAC flight, on the other hand, will operate daily. All ski routes begin on December 21, 2024, and run through March 30, 2025.
In other words, as confirmed by Cirium data, only 11 flights will be operated to JAC in December. The total number of seats on offer will vary given the number of days each month, but it will stick around the 2100 mark. See the table below for details.

Both flights will operate daily, “expanding from a Saturday-only service in 2023.” The existing year-round flights to BSN will complement these. They will be operated per the schedule above.

Delta is expanding its service to Bozeman from Atlanta, adding a second daily flight. Current routes to ASE, EGE, HDN, JAC, and MTJ will also continue next winter. It is also worth noting that ASE service is year-round.

SLC will also have an impressive winter schedule, with thrice-daily services to BZN, JAC, and SUN operated by a mix of Embraer and medium-haul Airbus jets.
