LATAM Airlines (Chile) made this announcement:
With flight LA637 that took off at 11:00 (local time) this Sunday, the LATAM group reactivated the direct route between Santiago de Chile and Orlando, United States.
The route has two flights a week and is available from June to September 2024, and then resumes from December to March 2025, covering the summer season of both hemispheres and making available to passengers a non-stop option to Orlando, a city that due to its offer of theme parks is one of the favorite destinations of Chileans during the holidays.
On the inaugural flight, passengers were surprised with an ad hoc atmosphere to their destination: the theme park capital of the world. In the departure lounge, they found photo facilities, as well as themed gifts, to finally enjoy a special menu on board.
The seasonal route – which the group has resumed since 2018 – marks a new step forward in the Joint Venture between the LATAM group and Delta Air Lines, which has already announced 6 new routes directly connecting South America with the United States. In this line, during the inauguration of the flight, Bernadette M. Meehan, U.S Ambassador to Chile and Elisa Zavala, Alliance Manager of Delta Air Lines, were also present.
