According to data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, the Spanish national carrier, Iberia, will conduct 126 domestic and international operations in the US with its Airbus A350 fleet. Iberia, which joined the ranks of Airbus operators in 2018, operates its Airbus A350 on various routes, both internationally and domestically. As the national carrier of Spain, Iberia Airlines plays a pivotal role in connecting the US with the Spanish capital, Madrid. Let’s take a closer look at some of these routes.

Iberia’s operations of the A350 in the USA in the month of June will have 39,852 seats, while the available seats per mile (ASM) will be 185,896,584ASMs. Let’s briefly take a look at other airlines with numbers (for the A350s) similar to those of Iberia.

Turkish Airways (TK) and carriers with similar numbers

Turkish Airlines has taken delivery of several A350-900s originally destined for Aeroflot. While retaining Aeroflot’s configuration and interior, these aircraft are also part of the Turkish Airlines fleet. They operate on various routes, including domestic ones, to, from, and within the United States.

For instance, one of the four A350 that were operated by Areoflot and is now a part of Turkish – the aircraft TC-LGK – has made three return trips across the Atlantic, operating to Chicago (ORD), Boston (BOS), and Atlanta (ATL). Its shortest flight recorded has been a 58-minute hop. In June, Turkish Airlines’ A350 will have 230 operations in, to, and within the US, providing 74,162 seats. The available seats per mile will be 437,980,576. Two other airlines operate similar numbers of A350 flights.

Singapore Airlines and British Airways

As of May 2024, Singapore Airlines is the largest operator of the A350. The airline operates several A350-900s on its routes to and from the U.S. According to Upgraded Points, some of the routes operated by Singapore Airlines’ A350 to, from, and within the US are the following:

In June, Singapore Airlines will have 406 flights, but unlike the number of operations, the available seats are relatively fewer. Just 89,286 seats will be provided during the operations, while the available seats per mile will be 735,065,280 ASMs. British Airways operates its Airbus A350-1000 aircraft on several routes within the United States. The flag carrier of the UK operates in the USA through its main hub, Heathrow Airport. Here’s a slight peek at the routes.

These routes showcase British Airways’ commitment to using the A350-1000 for transatlantic travel.

British Airways (BA) will have 300 operations with its A350s to, from and within the US in June. This number is almost 100 less than Singapore Airlines. However, British Airways will provide around 10,000 more seats than the SQ. During the 300 operations of BA, the available seats per mile will be 469,351,380 ASMs. There are two other airlines whose number of operations with the A350 lie between those of BA and SQ.

Qatar Airways (QR) operates several routes within the United States using its Airbus A350 aircraft. The maximum number of operations of QR’s A350 in the USA take place through Hamad International Airport as its main hub. Here are some routes to, from, and within the US, on which QR mostly operates its A350.
