An incident of a Donald Trump supporter alleging discrimination by an American Airlines flight attendant has surfaced recently. Passenger accuses flight attendant of discrimination
A passenger has come forward with an account of discrimination on a recent American Airlines flight from Detroit to Philadelphia in the first class cabin. According to reports, the aircraft involved was an Airbus A319. The passenger, Heather Mullins, an independent journalist, is a Trump supporter and was wearing a MAGA hat during the flight.

She details her experience on X (formerly known as Twitter) and says that the flight attendant in question offered a drink to the passenger sitting next to her but skipped her altogether. While she found this strange, Mullins asked the FA if she could get a drink. To this, the flight attendant replied curtly, “No. I’ll be back for you.”
Mullins describes the flight attendant’s tone as nasty and says that she was eventually served her beverage after everyone else in the cabin was served theirs. She adds that other passengers took notice of this in the first-class cabin and can even back up her allegation.
Filing a complaint
Mullins tried filing a complaint after her flight but said it was not easy. She recalled on X,
“Tried to file a complaint during my layover. First woman said I needed to call a Supervisor. Supervisor told me it would be over an hour to get a manager and to go to the website. When I tried recording her instructions she got upset and called a customer service manager. He then called an “inflight” manager or something who said they couldn’t come down. I was given the CSR managers business card and told to fill out a report at the website he wrote on the back.”
She was ultimately told to go to the website to register a complaint. While Mullins said she would do that, she added that she was not hopeful about it.

However, as Mullin’s social media post became viral, American Airlines reportedly got in touch with her to resolve the issue. According to the Toronto Sun, a spokesperson for the carrier said, “We are investigating the matter, including reaching out to the customer to learn more about her experience.” Simple Flying has also contacted the airline for comments.
Flight Attendant’s identity revealed
Mullin also revealed the identity of the flight attendant involved in the incident, revealing her face and her badge number on X. Further investigation would likely reveal what happened on the flight, but if Mullin’s account is true, then it does seem like a case of discrimination.

However, revealing the identity of the flight attendant, particularly in this context ahead of elections, could also have consequences. Simple Flying has also asked American Airlines about its policies regarding photos or videos being taken of its flight attendants. We will update the article if and when we receive a response.
