Finnair Plus has four elite tiers, and offers good benefits including upgrades.

The new facility will offer an enhanced airport experience for premium Finnair passengers flying to Schengen-area countries. The carrier already has a Finnair Business Lounge in the non-Schengen area of the airport, situated close to Gate 52.

Nordic touches

The lounge interior was designed by Studio Joanna Laajisto, a Helsinki-based agency specializing in commercial interiors. The design is influenced by the serenity of the Nordic landscape, featuring furniture from local companies such as Artek, Nikari, and Gubi. It aims to “capture the essence of the Nordics” by highlighting warm colors, wooden textures and round shapes. It will also boast an enviable view of the runway and airport gate area.

The design establishes separate areas for dining, resting and mingling with guests, so passengers can find a spot that suits their needs.

Meri Järvinen, Head of Airport Customer Experience, said,

“With increased space, the new Finnair Lounge comfortably accommodates up to 440 guests, which is about 150 seats more than the current lounge. Different spaces within the lounge are tailored to various needs: dining, working, resting and spending time with your travel companions.”
